Crafty Party

Hi Bloggers and Sarah!

Today I have held a crafty party with my friend Sarah (who follows my blog from afar) and my sisters. We have had a great afternoon. I showed the girls a couple of new techniques and we shared some papers and bits 'n' bobs. We were able to have a crafty party as Fiancé is off in Poland for a Stag Do. I imagine it's messy, it's probably better not to think about it!! lol! Today I made a card for his friend who is getting married. Hopefully this is ok! The stamp is a Stampavie stamp, coloured with copics, topped with a little bit of gold glitter for the champagne and the papers are from the capsule collection.

Thanks for looking!

Not Fallen off the Edge of the Earth! :o)

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the lack of chat lately, I've not been up to much crafting over the last couple of weeks - BUT - I have a very good reason. I've started taking driving lessons and I'd applied to do my theory test, so I've spent LOADS of time recently studying, trying to remember stopping distances, road signs and speed limits has been trying I tell ya! Well the good news is that..... I PASSED TODAY! So it's on with more lessons and the practical test here I come. Thankfully it'll just be my Saturday lessons from now on, so I can hopefully get a bit of crafting done.

Thanks for Reading,

Lyns xx

Just For You Card

And as Cheryl Cole would say... I've got me mojo back!

A new stamp arrived today, it just jumped into my online basket! lol it is the butterfly bear stamp by Penny Johnson, Stampavie. I`m not sure about my colouring though, it`s a bit iffy! I used my copics to colour as always, topped with a little sprinkle of copics and piled the buttons on top of each other on the bow. TFL xx

Help for Haiti Stamp

Hi Bloggers,

It's a long time coming this card... the stamp is a help for Haiti digi-stamp from Whimsy Stamps which can be found here proceeds all go to helping those affected in the Haiti disaster. Unfortunately I've not done a lot of crafting recently as I've been very busy. OH's Dad was taken into hospital unwell, we're hoping he'll be out this weekend. There's also been a lot of running around family members... it's been tiring! I am hoping for a quiet week this week to recharge my batteries!

Well I hope everyone else is well. Thanks for looking, Lyns xx

40th Birthday Card

Hello Bloggers!

Who is this person?! Lynsey?? Lynsey-who?! I know I've been a bad crafter and blogger recently! I've been on an evening course the last week, so I've been going straight from my work to the course then home to have a bit of a chill out before going to bed. I've not even had enough time to eat any tea :o( so I'm glad it's over and I can get back to some crafting, I might not be able to do as much as I'd like but I'll try!

This card is for a friend at work who turns 40 this weekend, he's being such a drama-queen about it too. I went with a car theme as he loves his BMW so I thought this was pretty apt for him. The netting was in part of a present my mum gave me, I just cut a little section up and wrapped some red wire around it. Now I've not done a great job of taking the picture, everything looks a bit squint... it's not if you see it in person! lol Well I am off for a blog hop and a catch up. TFL Hope you all have great weekends! Lyns xx

Dad's Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,

This card is for my Dad, it's his birthday on Sunday. I know some of you must think all I ever make for males is golf themed cards, it just happens most of the guys I know are fans of golf! The image is a Clare Curd Stamp, coloured with copics, paper is doodlebug, shapes cut with nesties and the dry embossing was on my bug with the Happy Birthday Folder! TFL xx

A Thank You Card and An Award :o)

Evening Bloggers,

I made the above card for my friend to say thank you for my birthday present. She got me a gorgeous hand painted glass that holds at least half the bottle of wine! lol She knows me well! I also have been itching to use my new circle nesties from my sister and my new doily lace punch. The image is a free stamp from cardmaking and papercraft and coloured with my copics. No glamour dust for once! lol I thought the card had enough of it's own sparkle.

I'll now move on to my fabby award from Sandra, thank you hun! For this award I have to tell you ten things that make me happy, here we go:

  • My Lovely Fiancé
  • My Stunning Engagement Ring! lol
  • Crafting (obviously)
  • Spending time with Friends and Family
  • Listening to Happy Music
  • Being able to munch on chocolate when I'm not on a diet! lol
  • Sunny Days
  • Smarties Cookies
  • The Pink Panther
  • Labradors
Now I must pass this award on to others, sorry if you've already received this, just means you are super-popular! lol

Lots of News!

Hi Bloggers,

All has been quiet in craft-land for me at the moment, but for good reason! Last Friday was my birthday and my wonderful other half took me to a castle for the night, we were pampered with massages in the afternoon and enjoyed the whirlpool and tropical rainforest shower - I know it sounds bonkers but it really was fab. We then took a walk around the grounds and he proposed! So he's no longer known as other half but fiancé and I have to say my ring is just GORGEOUS! It was a lovely surprise. We then went for a lovely meal in the castle dungeons, the staff are incredibly nice and even treated us to two complimentary glasses of champagne. It was fantastic, I'm still on cloud 9.

Now as if getting engaged on my birthday wasn't enough, I also FINALLY got my finger out my bum and booked some driving lessons and some classroom time to prepare me for the theory test. I'm excited/nervous about the first lesson, but my instructor sounded very nice on the phone. Fingers crossed for me!

Hopefully I'll have some cards to share with you soon, my craft stuff will begin creeping out because my sister bought me some new nesties as a present and I NEED to play with them! lol :o)

Take Care Everyone, thanks for visiting!
