Sisterly Love

Good Morning Folks,

I hope you are all keeping well, I'm still running around like a blue-ersed flea. Hopefully things will calm down soon enough. If I'm honest it's a holiday I'm really after, but something tells me that's a long while off.

This card was one I made for my younger sister, Emma. My youngest sister Bec came round to make a card for Emma too, the card below with the sparkle is Bec's one. I think she's done a great job. We both used stamps and coloured with copics. The sparkle is glamour dust and the papers are doodlebug. I embossed the yellow card on my card with my bug.

I think Bec has done a great job of her card... we will both have to confess that we were both being a bit useless with the craft knife last night... does anyone else find that? Sometimes the knife just does not want to follow the straight ruler edge! It's most frustrating!

Well I hope you all like our work and I hope most importantly that Emma does! Thanks for stopping by!

Weddings and a Mojo Holiday

Good Evening Bloggers,

Well I'm still having a bit of bother with the new docrafts site but I'm hoping I'll get used to it soon. I think it's just the way it goes when something changes, it takes a bit of time to get the kinks ironed out. I finally got the chance today to sit and make some cards that thankfully have NOTHING to do with weddings! lol So far this year we are one wedding down, 2 to go. The next one is going to be the most demanding so whilst I'm looking forward to it, I'll be relieved when it's over too.

Anyway, I digress! I sat down to start making some cards and my mojo just went up in a puff of smoke... :o( so I'm not to sure about these two cards. I tried to keep the first one here simple, so I thought no patterned paper.

This second card, I just wanted to sit and colour. This is one of my most favourite images to colour, but I even found simple colouring a bit of a trial. Bleh! Hopefully my mojo returns from its holiday soon. I think it's just a shock to the system now not making wedding invitations!

Otherwise, I don't have much news... I was at a friend of OH's wedding on Friday in St. Andrews and thankfully the weather was BEAUTIFUL! You couldn't have asked for a nicer day it was perfect. Their ceremony was really sweet, I don't think it could've gone better. Needless to say I had a few drinks so I was a touch rough around the edges on Saturday morning, but nothing a fried breakfast and some fresh sea air didn't sort. Well I'm off now! Take Care and Thanks for Reading! Lyns xxx

So the wonderful docrafts have finally launched their new site and I can't get in to my favourite part... the forum! I've not been on for weeks because I've been too busy and now when I actually want, no wait scrap that, NEED on... I can't! :o( booo hooo hooo... anyone else having problems?

Ninety Cards Later...

Phew, where has the time gone?! You'd be forgiven for thinking I'd disappeared into a vortex somewhere. I can assure you all I've not stopped crafting, in fact it's been rather intense if I'm honest. Yesterday I finished the hand made invitation cards I'd volunteered to make my friend as a wedding present. Well 90 cards later, my hands are killing me, my neck has a permanent crick and I definitely need a new blade for my craft knife. I don't think I'll be doing that again any time soon! I've even worked out a way to make my own invitations for next year without cutting a single thing! It's been a hard slog and if I'm honest it's been hard being her bridesmaid too. There's been a lot of problems with the dresses resulting in numerous fittings, none her fault, but it's been demanding on my time which I have very little of at the moment. I am delighted that the invites are now done though and it's definitely a unique present. I've hopefully saved her a bit of money too.

On top of all this chaos, I'm still doing my driving lessons, which are going well so far! :o) I hopefully wont need too many more, but we'll just have to see. I've been getting lots of practice with my OH who says I'm definitely improving.

Well I'll hopefully get a picture of the invites to put on for you soon when I can get a better picture in some good light.

Thanks for reading, I'll have some normal crafting once my hands have returned to normal!
