Happy Birthday Basket

Happy Crunchie Friday Everyone!

Last night I had a little play with my fabby dabby kit I won from LOTV Facebook Page.  I chose the mini-basket kit, which is so cute! It's so easy to use, everything is ready, you don't even need scissors for this - literally all you need is glue!

I added some heart pearls to the handle, just for something a little extra and they are totally cute.

I think I'm a little bit in love with that checked paper lining the inside, I decided not to use it inside and out as that would be a bit overboard.  Literally all I used from my own kit was the glue and pearls... very simple.  These cute kits would be great for someone who is new to crafting.  There are a tonne of sentiments too - so plenty of little bits and bobs for me to use on cards I can make to match.

In my part of the world we've had some sporadic bouts of good weather, one day I took the maniac Molly to the beach, she loves the water and the ball.  She's the happiest dog in the world.

Hope you all have a great weekend everyone and have nice things planned.  Thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW 259 & A Wee Scruffy Little Cat Card

It's WOYWW today! Please check out Julia's Blog for all the information of what we are doing here and why we are flaunting our mess for the world to see.

I was in the process of building up my card (which I have shown below) when I photographed the desk... It's a nightmare to take a good picture of my desk.  I think I should keep the Daylight lamp off, or actually go look for my camera instead of using my phone to take the picture.  But I am lazy! The orange blob in the middle is my pint of Irn Bru to keep me going through my crafting - best soft drink in the world by the way. My desk is messier than I would like, but what can I say I was in 'The Zone'.

I went a bit mad and bought loads of new stamps from Create and Craft.  They are by Scruffy Little Cat and actually don't have anything to do with Cats.  The stamps are very on trend and great for those who aren't into the whole cutesy looking stuff.

This is Lola, who is just fabulous to colour.  I have coloured her with copics, I added some stickles to her powder puff and the bubbles have some glaze.  I thought she looked so fabulous I'd take the picture on my faux fur throw.

Ribbon and lace are from the Ribbon Girl; gems are from stash and the paper is Magnolia Paper, which I have used inside and out of the card.

I think Lola looks like she'd be a bit of a minx.... ha ha!

Anyway I'm off for a hop around all your blogs to see what is lurking on your desks and what you've been working on.

Glitz & Glamour - Scruffy Little Cat

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Woo-hoo! Love a weekend; and been using my day wisely.  Been playing with my new stamps from Scruffy Little Cat, by Crafter's Companion.  LOVE these stamps, perfect for my girls who aren't in to the cutesy looking cards... These are great stamps, they came with LOADS of sentiments too.

I have coloured the beautiful Holly with Copics, I decided there wasn't enough girls representing us red-heads in the crafty images, so she's got the same colour of hair as me! I think I've made her a pretty good match to my hair... what do you think?

This picture was my selfie that won the competition from LOTV...

Anyways; back to my card! The papers are part of a Papermania Pack, Ribbon is from my stash, the big button gem is from Ribbon Girl, gold glitter is glamour dust and I've added stickles to her eyelashes - she is GLAMOROUS! I think you will agree.  I can't wait for the rest of my stamps to arrive.  I have stamped one of the sentiments on to some scrap of my main backing paper.

Here's a little close up of my wee Holly... I added glitz glaze to the champagne bubbles too! Cos it's such a little space you can't really see it - but it is there!

Well guys I hope you like the beautiful Holly, I think this is going to be my sister's birthday card.

I'm off for a wee hop round blog land!

Happy Wednesday Guys,

How are you all doing? I am sorry I have missed a few weeks of WOYWW, between being unwell and on holiday there wasn't a whole lot happening on my desk... I'm back in action this week though. I have a number of birthday's coming up and my sister is in the processing of moving, so there's a few cards in the pipeline.  I have been stamping up some of my images ready for colouring throughout the week so I'm 'prepared' ha ha! Well that's the theory anyway!

It's just a short little post from me today, I've been doing a lot of lugging around of boxes and files at work, so I'm pretty tired and just don't have the brain power for a big massive post - I'll do better next week, or I promise to try at least!

Thanks for stopping by!

LOTV Competition

Morning Guys,

How you all doing today?  I thought I'd share with you a wee pic of my mental mate Molly - also known as Monster or Bat-Dog.

How cheesy is that grin? We paid a visit to my friend Rhea at the weekend, I put Molly's drying coat on her to try and minimise the hair impact on Rhea's black sofa... Molly had other ideas, she rubbed and rolled her head all over that sofa, she stole a piece of Chicken Breast and she went charging around Rhea's Cousins bedroom... whilst he was sleeping! No one can be sad around Molly, she's the world's happiest dog!

Anyhoo,  last night I was chuffed to see that I had won the LOTV Virtual Party Facebook Selfie competition - lucky me and some other girls won prizes too for various quizzes etc.  I won a crafty kit so I'm looking forward to playing with that when it comes.

I began playing and making this card on Sunday night and finished it up last night.  I tried to keep the theme quite CAS and centred on the image.

LOTV image is coloured with copics and glittered with glitz and glaze... which has been in my stash for the last million years.... paper are LOTV, twine and gems are also from my stash.

Here is a wee close up of the image.

Hope you all like guys... today's plan of action is to clear a room at work, soooo not looking forward to that!

Thanks for visiting! Lyns xx

LOTV's Virtual Birthday Party

Hey-hey Guys,

Hope you're all having a great weekend, mine has been pretty good. Yesterday was LOTV's 10th Birthday, where they had a party in their shop and a virtual party on Facebook.  I couldn't get down to Leeds but I could sit and have a wee crafty sesh at home.

Here's my craft area, mid-craft... yep a mess! I was embracing the craft to the max yesterday, I had the craft channel on the TV and I had the FB party on my computer and was crafting away happily.

The image I used James Butterfly image from LOTV (obviously) and this is him mid-colour (copics - obviously).

The card is coming together now... the closer the card gets to ready, the messier the desk gets.

Here is the finished article, papers and stamp are from LOTV, the ribbon, lace and butterfly are from Ribbon Girl.  The little pink pearls are Papermania.  I coloured the image with Copics, as always.

I have also decorated the inside of the card to match the theme.  Decorating the inside also means it keeps the back weighted enough that the card doesn't come crashing off the mantlepiece.

Here is James all coloured and finished, he is adorable.  If you were lucky enough to make it to the party in Leeds, then I hope you didn't spend too much money in the shop! It was probably better for my bank balance that I couldn't go.  Having the craft channel on was deadly... a few stamps hopped into my basket and are now winging their way to me... uh-oh! I'm super excited for them arriving, I can't wait to share!

Take Care Guys, I'm off for a hop around blogland!

Granda's Birthday & Sketch

Hiya Guys,

I hope if you have the holiday off today, that you are doing something fun with your time, or getting a really long lie in bed! :o)

I was in a bit of a crafter's mojo rut... I just couldn't get it kick started, but last night I came up with this wee guy using the LOTV sketch below.

How cute is wee James bear? I used the coloured Art Pads to make a card for my Granda as he spends much of his time looking just like wee James bear... a wee bit confused in front of his laptop... he he! Sorry Granda!

Products I used are Ribbon Girl Ribbon, singeing the ends of the ribbon, clear gems coloured with pea green copic marker, the edge of the card is also coloured with the same marker.

All the papers are from LOTV's Father Knows Best which are great for boy themed cards.  I hand wrote my sentiment - not the best I know, but it's almost impossible to get one saying Granda.

I hope you guys like my wee James Bear, he's so sweet.

I'm off for a bounce around blog land! Take Care Guys!
