Minnie Mouse - Niece's Birthday

Hey everyone, busy busy week, hence I've been a bit quiet on the blog front.

I picked up some Minnie Mouse papers and stickers from the Range, my wee niece will be four in July and she loves Minnie, she loves frozen more but she'll get loads of cards that are frozen themed so I thought Minnie would be good :o)
The ribbon and gems are from my stash, I die cut the circle and scalloped circle.

I reckon she will like this.... Well here's hoping!

Hope you guys like too! Thanks for visiting. Lyns xx

Classy & Fabulous

Yeay - It's Friday! Today's card is the image I worked on during the week made up into an elegant card.  The papers are from Papermania as a set, I think they came in a goody bag. I decided to keep it
very simple, make it more about the image than anything else.
She's coloured with copics and I used a little bit of a spica glitter pen on the pearls and her lips, just wanted to make it shimmer slightly.

I've decorated the inside of the card, keeping it simple again, using the left over paper from the front and stamping the sentiment into the card.  The image is by Scruffy Little Cat, as are both sentiments.  You can find Scruffy Little Cat stamps at Crafter's Companion. The images are gorgeous, but I do find they work best when they are mounted on to some EZ-Mount Foam backing.

Hope you all like my creation and have a great weekend!

WOYWW 311 - Practice Makes Perfect

Hands-up, who found it a struggle getting up this morning - ME, ME, ME!

It's Wednesday, so there's two good things about that, 1. It's WOYWW (to see what we are up to visit Julia's brilliant Blog).  2. It's half way through the week!

Anyhoo, back to the point... This is my desk, not too bad at the moment, I have inked up and stamped a load of different stamps to get me focused on practising my colouring.  I LOVE colouring the stamps I'm just not a great fan of actually stamping them... ha ha!
These stamps are by Scruffy Little Cat, which you can pick up at Crafter's Companion. Beautiful stamps, I absolutely love these... they are quite big and just great to colour. I've coloured the below image with my copics, I'm currently taking Alyce's (Kit and Clowder) on-line colouring classes, my colouring seriously needs some work!!

This is what Molly thinks to it all... lazy lazy dog!  I recently set up my iPad to spy on her whilst I was at work, hoping I might get some Kevin McAllister-doggy-home-alone style hijinks,  but NOPE! She was BORING.  She sleeps, has the occasional scratch and at one stage she got up to look out the window.  However I later  discovered a cat had been hit by a car, so that's obviously the only reason she moved from the sofa! Lazy-Labrador!
On a separate note, thanks for all your lovely comments last week welcoming me back - I am feeling better about things, getting back to blogging and crafting more, so the absence is definitely over for now.

Thanks for stopping by! Lyns xx

Birthday Dreams

Hey-hey bloggers,

How you all doing this not so fine Monday?  Oh I didn't want to get up this morning, I had a great weekend, catching up with family and crafting away yesterday.  Whilst crafting I decided to catch up on some shows I was lagging behind on, last night I wound up staying up too late catching up on The Flash - a modern day reboot of the original series.  I am up to date now, but I'm sooooo tired now!

The card I made is a girly birthday one.  The stamp is by Scruffy Little Cat which you can buy at Crafter's Companion, the sentiment and backing papers are by LOTV and as usual gems from my stash.

I am in love with the Scruffy Little Cat images they are perfect for older girls/women.  I like that they seem that little bit more grown up, who wouldn't want those lashes too!

A friend of mine shared this to my facebook profile so I decided to share this with you all.. definitely true where my lab is concerned...
Thanks for visiting me guys!

Take care, Lyns xx

Morning Everyone,

It's been a long time, but I'm back for WOYWW - to find out more about what we do here, please check out Julia's amazing blog! I must confess this was my desk starting out and it was reasonably tidy at this point, but later on it was like someone took the desk and gave it a good shake... ah well! Creative mess is good.

I was in the process of making my first card for a long time, I was happy with how it turned out and I'm glad I got back to crafting again after spending so long away. I seem to get into a rut every so often where I come away from crafting due to personal stuff and really it's the best way through a rough time is to just sit and play away... I still wish I had a room for crafting and didn't have to take over half my lounge! Ha!

I'm off now for a browse round your blogs - thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a wee comment to say you have visited.

Long-time... but a baby card!

I think I have to accept that I am just one of these people that will flit in and out of blogging... I love doing it when I'm in the zone, but if I get out the zone I'm rubbish.  Unfortunately a lot happened over Christmas and into the New Year that really knocked me for six.  I don't want to talk about it though, so I wont. I'll get on with the card.

I have made baby cards using this theme before, I've used it as a basis on which to make this.  It was a struggle to get crafting again after so long... But once I was at my desk and down with it, I was loving it.

The paper set is from LOTV called Up and Away the stamp is also LOTV and coloured with copics and a little bit of glitter glue on the stars so they sparkle.

Ribbons, lace and gems are from my stash but will have been bought from the Ribbon Girl website.

If you happened to stop by, I appreciate the visit and thanks for keeping up with me even though I'm blatantly RUBBISH!
