Bunny in the Clouds & Hannah's Birthday

Hi-hi Everyone,

First off, thank you to everyone who stopped by my blog yesterday for WOYWW and thank you to those who watched the little video I made.  There was a couple of questions after my post, so the card I was making is the one I am posting about today.  The card is a shaped card from a pack, but I used one to make a template and now use that to trace around and make more of them.  I think the original pack of cards was from Every Craft is a Pound at a craft fair.

Another question I was asked - yes I am Scottish, sorry for the gruff accent. I tried to keep any Scots words out of it, but it's hard when you are talking instead of writing and there's so many Scots words that I don't realise are not 'real' words. Hopeless! :o)

On to the card I was making, it is a heavy LOTV themed card today - not intentionally I might add, I am trying to spice things up and use different stamps and other crafting mediums, but sometimes you gotta go back to what you love to do.

Paper is from LOTV Up and Away, the purple card is papermania, stamp is LOTV coloured with copics, the ribbon is from docrafts freebie in their magazine, gems are from a hobby craft pack, pink heart is a fizzy moon chipboard topper.

Here's a wee close up of the image, the glitter was still wet when I took the photo (stickles glue) and I wish it would stay lumpy like it looks there, more for this particular card because it makes the clouds actually look fluffy.

This little Monster is Hannah, it was her 4th birthday yesterday.  She is playing with the gifts I gave her, a Lego set and a Barbie Car and Car Wash - you can tell from her face that she is VERY happy with them.

Thanks for visiting me everyone, take care! Lyns x

Happy WOYWW Everyone,

An extra special happy birthday to my niece who is 4 today! Not that she can read my blog, but I thought I'd say anyway.

For today's WOYWW (Check Julia's blog to see what we do) I have done something a little bit different and videoed my crafting area. It was taking over my lounge. I hope this doesn't go against the rules Julia, just thought it would be a little bit different.  I have put pictures of my desk too, after I'd organised myself a bit and worked out what I was doing next.  Please excuse my accent, I'm sorry if you can't understand me *thinks maybe I should add subtitles* ha! :o)

Failing the video, here's some snaps of my desk once I got a bit more organised... The card there is still in progress, but will hopefully be finished up by tonight.

I like the desk better when it is organised for sure.

The tags I made for my niece's presents are here too; I abandoned the 3D Minnie Mouse Stickers. I felt they'd be too much and these look pretty cute for just a present tag.

Well hope you liked my post, I was rubbish last week and totally forgot, I took pictures of the desk but I forgot to post - eejit!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy WOYW-Wednesday,

To see what we are all about, please check out Julia's great blog.

Today's desk photo is featuring a work in progress card for my step-dad, who's birthday is today! :o) He is a Mr. Fix-it which is hence the theme of the card.  If it is broken Stu will fix it, no matter what.

I really struggled to get my creative brain working, I was at T in the Park on Sunday, the stuff about the Travel chaos - yep all true, I got home (eventually) at 3.30am Monday morning - I am so glad I took the Monday off work.  It was was great despite the travel nightmare, everyone I saw was brilliant - I can't say I saw a single bad band.

Here is a little photo of the Main Stage with the sun going down in the background before the Stereophonics came on.
Well I hope you've all been productive - off to take a sketch at your desks!

Brother's Superhero Birthday Card

I coloured up the image and mounted it to the card, but I need to find my jaggy die that I can cut the sentiment out of.

This image is called Super Spandex from Slinky Tart they also have a little money off code available if you like their facebook page - so check them out if you like digital stamps that are a little bit more racey (oo err) than the norm.

My card is a biggy for a change, 8" x 8" and the paper is DCWV All About Boys, I had to go searching to find that, because the front of the paper stack was lost long long ago! They are brilliant papers for making up boys cards. The blue card is embossed with a Happy Birthday Folder and has had the edges roughed up!

As always Wonder woman here is coloured with Copics, still need more and more practice! gah! I never feel I have enough time.

Anyway guys, would love your thoughts, thanks for stopping by. Lyns x

WOYWW 318 - Work in Progress :)

Happy WOYWW's,

Morning all, hope you are all good.  Bit of drama on my desk last night, track-pad for my mac went haywire after the latest mac update - which diverted me from doing what I should have - making my brother's birthday card.  Things that don't work annoy me though.  You can tell I was getting upset with it all by the empty glass of wine on the desk! Anyway if you are new here and wondering why I have a picture of my chaotic desk, please check out Julia's blog for all the information on what we are doing.

So my desk is a bit of a work in progress for this week, was suffering a dilemma whilst making this card for my brother's birthday.  I knew I wanted super-hero kinda theme, I knew I had papers, I knew I had a stamp... couldn't make my brain work enough to actually colour the stamp though.  I've actually made this project a bit in reverse, so the stamp still needs coloured and stuck to the card, but the rest of the card is made up... oh dear!

I will definitely finish this up tonight, my brother's birthday has actually passed, but he was on holiday to be fair so I couldn't give it to him.  Hopefully be sharing the finished card tomorrow and hopefully he likes it.

Thanks for stopping by everyone.

Rhea & Steve's Wedding & Wedding Card

Happy-Monday Bloggers,

Later with my post today than I intended, sorry about that... I am tired, so so very tired.  My gorgeous friend Rhea got married yesterday, I unfortunately was off the sauce cos of work this morning.  Not that it stopped me shaking my booty, I had a great time.  I just went to bed a bit 'buzzy' after the day, so I didn't get as good or as long a sleep as normal - but it was worth it.

Look at how happy these guys look...

A fantastic couple, a beautiful venue and an incredible day!
Well obviously I had to make them a card, which is a bit different to my normal style, I hope the happy couple like it.

I used a kit that I bought from hunkadory, which was called decadent days I think! I have mod'd it to make it more how I wanted.  The ribbon and gems are from my stash.

On a separate note, if you are making a card with a lot of embellishments... make sure you have gusseted envelopes, otherwise you have a war getting it into the envelope on your hands!

Well I hope the beautiful couple like the card and that they have an incredible life together.

Thanks for visiting guys! Lyns xxx
