WOYWW 354 - Decopatch First Go!

Happy WOYWW - welcome to my desk, to see what us desk creeps are all about, please check out Julia's superb blog.  I swear we are not weird... well maybe a little.

In this desk shot, I'm working on some decopatch, decided to give it a go.  I guess I've already been doing it by glittering up glasses but this time I bought a little cardboard unicorn and trinket box to work with.

This is whilst the glue was still drying, I definitely will be playing around with more of these projects and hopefully will get a little bit better over time.

Here's my unicorn all dried and finished, I sealed it off with a sparkle gloss mod-podge finish.

Added a couple of the anita's gems for some eyes, do you think they look ok or a bit weird?

Thanks for dropping by, don't forget to comment so I can visit your blog too! Lyns xx

Hi Lynn, as Jan says, there is definitely weird on WOYWW!
I love the picture of your dog at the top, makes me feel like going out for a walk and getting some fresh air.
You've obviously had lots of fun with your unicorn, is he finished or is there more to do?
Thanks for dropping by my page, and as you see, a bigger space simply means bigger mess while yours looks very tidy and business like. I sometime wish I could be tidier and work in a smaller space.
Bless you

I love your top picture of Molly enjoying herself in the sea. We lost our labrador Maddie last November after 15 years of wonderful times together and your picture bought back so many memories! We have had many holidays in Scotland, it's just beautiful. Your unicorn is so pretty. I know a few little girls who would be pleased to own it!
Have a happy week and thanks for your visit earlier

Oh yes, I had a decopatch phase. I still have the stuff. I have recently used it to cover a large cardboard capital letter for a scrapbook page. Turned out OK it did.
Your unicorn is delightful, although he looks a bit like My Little Pony.
Your computer is fab. I see it is a Mac. That would have been my dream but my funds didn´t stretch that far unfortunately. I´m happy with what I´ve got now. But learning new things certainly is a learning curve!
Happy WOYWW,
Thanks for visiting,
Have a good week,

Pretty choice of papers for the Unicorn - aren't they expensive! I dunno if the gems make weird eyes....they wrk for me, but then I'm a desker and we all have a bit of weird in us...nutters!!

Pretty unicorn. Perfect colors for him and I love how when you placed your watermark over him, your little star bursts seemed to bring him to life. Creative Blessings! Kelly #53
